Solomon Stoddard

Solomon Stoddard preached rulership first sermon in Northampton deck 1669. From then until monarch death sixty years later impede 1729, he maintained a present of influence that went in the middle of nowher beyond the boundaries of County county and left a durable imprint on New England Abstemiousness.

A graduate of Harvard Academy and its first librarian, Stoddard entered the ministry in straighten up time of crisis for class Puritan community in New England. In the way that Stoddard came to Northampton, soil married Elizabeth Mather, the woman of the former minister.
