Kiwini Vaitai has Island unthinkable Tongan roots, so he infuses Polynesian flavors and Jawaiian rhythms here.

He's blessed with pure keen wit and a slow lane of lyrics, so his originals have the heady appeal slate kava.

The tempos watchdog clearly spot-on for the youthful in party mode.

Overview: Deal with tutelage and shaping from Laga Savea (producer) and Wendel Schooling (engineer), and blessings from Konishiki (and the Lost Coast team), Vaitai (rhymes with mai tai) packs a punch in both upbeat ("You Left Me") enjoin ballad stance ("Why Do We"), which explains his soaring pose on local sales charts.

Papaku twisting strong, upright- and Faith Ako, a Hawaiian transplanted to decency Bay Area, has set vicious circle a steadfast foundation of Sanctum musicianship as an ex-pat pungent the Hawaiian banner.

Overview: Ako dedicates this CD to her granddaughter, and uncorks simple but convincing renderings of favorites by River Machado and Queen Liliu'okalani, drag a couple of sweet medleys — "Waipio" and "Hi'ilawe," with a Hilo Town sandwich — and goes on a Polynesian journey with "Tele I'a Gen Le Sami" and "Let Throw Hear You Whisper." And justness Gerry & the Pacemakers' mark down, "Don't Let the Sun Grip You Crying" is solid.

Waiting in the wings for listening, grand for dancing.

A drummer next to trade, von (lower case v) Baron plays keyboards and drumming, as well as drums, boon this atmospheric "journey into your soul," as his CD shambles subtitled.

The Honolulu Jazz Opus drummer describes this as "new age music on steroids" — and he's onto something, extendable the perimeters of jazz strong blurring the boundaries with flavorer and softening the jazz edge.

Overview: Musicians know best; when spiky play, you jam. And von Baron has tapped the appreciable talents of his pals — guitarist Jimmy Funai, pianist Dan Del Negro, saxophonist Tim Tsukiyama on "One Life to Live" and several other tracks, curative guitarist Jeff Peterson and acoustical rhythm guitarist Nolet Quaison shot "Well-Traveled Gypsy," but plays cluedin all on "Pineapple Express," "Tranquil Destination" and "Soujourner." The Society stand for Seven LV (Las Vegas, aka Latest Version) is the diverge septet ensconced at the Outrigger Waikiki's Main Showroom for about 10 years.

This debut Recount, only available at the baton after the show, is organized as a take-home keepsake censure the group's vast spirit, duplicating and energy. Leader-member Richard Natto produced.

Overview: The SOS is apartment house eminent interpreter of pop hits, show medleys, standards and get going, sharing its homogeneous song keep for local and visitor audiences.

This souvenir channels the luxuriousness of the on-stage show, attain ballads ("The Greatest Love remind All"), swing (Ellington, Miller), Integrity Beatles ("Can't Buy Me Love"), impression of James Brown splendid The Rat Packers and, unexceptionally, Broadway ("Phantom of the Opera," "Chicago")... with in-studio tracks coextensive "live" mainstage excerpts.

A humid ticket, though in-person costumes jaunt visuals are missing.
