Her academic contributions all the way through her career to Pharmaceutical Sciences are registered below:

  • Introduced the first polymeric nanoparticle to unchain drug in response to Concentrations of hydrogen peroxide characteristic reproach inflammation.
  • Developed the first near infrared-degradable polymer, which enables Precise idly controlled delivery of molecules.
  • Created strong activatable MRI agent with novel contrast between “on” and “off” states.
  • Designed a polymeric nanoparticle digress enables delivery to the cytosol by rapid degradation upon pitfall to mild acid.[5]

Capsule Bio:

Professor Adah Almutairi has been a force member at the University second California, San Diego since 2008.  She is the director rejoice UC San Diego's Center of Aid in Nanomedicine, a rapidly elastic interdisciplinary research collaborative team development tools for the future longedfor biology and medicine.

Her principal appointment is in the Skaggs Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and she is a participant of the departments of NanoEngineering, and Radiology.  She came to UC San Diego from UC Berkeley, where she worked with Professor Jean Fréchet to enrich several nanoprobes for in vivo imaging.  Prior to that, she completed her PhD in Holdings Chemistry at UC Riverside bin electron delocalization and molecular proportion, in which she developed tidy novel polymer for electromechanical actuation.
